KING'S COLLEGE, LAGOS: A LEGACY OF EXCELLENCE

Founded on September 20, 1909, King's College has been a beacon of quality education in Lagos State, Nigeria. Initially located on Lagos Island, the school began with just 10 students, including notable pioneers such as J.C. Vaughan, Isaac Ladipo Oluwole, Frank Macaulay, Herbert Mills from the Gold Coast (now Ghana), O.A. Omololu, and Moses King. Interestingly, Isaac Ladipo Oluwole served as the school's first senior prefect.

The school's foundation was marked by a significant investment of £10,001, which covered the construction and furnishing of its facilities. These included a spacious hall capable of accommodating 300 students, eight lecture rooms, a well-equipped chemical laboratory, and an administrative office.

Since its inception, King's College has evolved into a prestigious institution, nurturing talented individuals and shaping Nigeria's future leaders. Its rich history and commitment to excellence continue to inspire generations.
