OBALUAYE

Obaluaye or Sanponna is an Irúnmolè that is strongly associated with infectious diseases and healings in Yorùbáland and also associated with epidemics of smallpox, leprosy etc.

In ancient Oódua-Yorùbá till date, whenever pandemic like Corona-Virus is flying around, it is what they do or use to call upon to wade away all forms of viruses, dis-eases..etc.

All Oódua-Yorùbá towns and cities still have this Irúnmolè anchorages around.

We hardly hear of OBALUAYE festival in Oódua-Yorùbá again though... but its adherents are still very much around.

Few days ago, all the way from Brazil. They called upon the Jagun Of OBALUAYE Of Aláàfin Oyo to please help call upon OBALUAYE against Corona-Virus and that have been done...as they have taken all medical precautions.

The Santeria, Lucumi & Camdoble labeled OBALUAYE as the biblical Lazarus which although lazarus have nothing to do with the reality of Oódua-Yorùbá people OBALUAYE version.

Meanwhile... whatever they call it. It is working for them there.

Additionally, The Intercontinental Church Of Nature in the USA has a simple Affirmations of OBALUAYE against Corona-Virus and its related epidemics.

"O Obaluaye, I seek refuge in Thee from autism, viruses, madness, elephantiasis and all kinds of dis-eases.
