The Olofin Adimula of Ado-Odo, one of the earliest Awori kingdoms in Ado-Odo/Ota local government area of Ogun state, His Royal Majesty, Oba Abdul-Lateef Adeniran Akanni, Obaarun Oladekan 1, has joined his ancestors.
News of his death was broken to VOA News Correspondent in the early hours of Friday by a palace source, who prefers not to be named.
Oba Abddulateef Akanni Adeniran, until his ascension, was the Olofin Adimula of Ado-Odo, one of the foremost Awori towns in Ado-Odo/Ota.
When VOA News Correspondent put a call through to Olofin of Ado-Odo’s palace Secretary, Barrister Ajibade, to confirm the news of Oba Adeniran’s demise, he said that he was not privy of the news yet, though the serene in the background during the conversation showed that the Secretary was bereaved.
In a telephone interview with the Chairman, Ado-Odo/Ota local government, Hon. Sheriff Musa, he confirmed the news.
