Note:
This sacred Odu Ifá explained to us that women's menstruation is not a sign of dirt; or something forbidden; or a taboo; but a sign of hope and strength according to ifá. It is a sign of fruitfulness.
A woman can pray and touch her Òrìsà / ifá when she is on her menstrual period; it is not taboo.
Although, there are some medicines (àkòsè) that a woman cannot touch during menstruation; simply because medicines are made up of leaves (èwè) energies and words òfò (enchantment) that the power of the monthly flow could make the medicine impotent.
That's how powerful you are O women of creation.
But when it comes to Òrìsà / Ifá; menstrual blood is never seen as dirty; or prohibited; or taboo; it is your strength and it gives hope. If not because of it, countless of souls waiting to incarnate to planets earth won't be here through birth.* *O Women! You are a blessing to humanity.
Homages
Order Of Ifa
