WHO IS A HERO?

A true Hero is not a character whose existence is flawless. No! They make grand mistakes and their life is a lesson in grand overcoming. They sort out their destiny in the process of bearing the burden of all.  A hero is human by every standard, but a human with adamantine guts, who matches on still, despite overwhelming challenges  and despite being able to traverse personal trajectory of challenges and failures.

I repeat again, they are human by every standard.  It is their uncommon ability to overcome difficulties, situations & experiences that makes them appear like out-of-the-world  entities while attracting sobriquets like spirit or Orisha or ...

Heroes exist in every sphere of life. They could be as high up as kings or presidents. They could be as ‘lowly’ as truck pushers, nannies, etc.

We are all created in that mold. We all have heroic potentials and can be a reflection of uncommon deeds, if we choose to, if we boldly stand in our powers!

Being a hero is earned and does not just drop from heaven.  You may be a king and your reign might turn out uneventful or unheroic!

Awolowo, Azikiwe, Nkrumah, Mandela, Fela and a host of other souls fit into the cast of heroic models.
