Dear Compatriots, citizens of great Yoruba Nation

This statement becomes imperative in the light of the latest development relating to issuance of "Yoruba National Passport".

It is noteworthy that Yoruba Nation cannot be privatised.

We understand this Yoruba Nation consulate services is a Private limited company registered with the Company house in the United Kingdom.

This suggests it violates international norms being laws and international conventions.

It is therefore appropriate to state here the set up didn't meet the requirement of the International conventions.  Suffices to say, Yoruba Nation is not yet a Sovereign Nation.

It is an anomaly that an individual within an emerging Nation without Sovereignty or appropriate legal advise should embark on issuance of Yoruba National passport and establishing diplomatic post for a Nation in embryonic stage.

Isn't the aforementioned the function of a government?

Did those behind the consulate project consider it appropriate  to seek legal advice before they embarked on it?

Was it ever mentioned in their public sensitisation  that people of Yoruba Nation must know the consulate services is a private enterprise?  If no, this a scam.  If yes, they acted in ignorance and ignorance of the law is not a defense.

Is it appropriate that a consulate project should be controlled by just one person with sole power to appoint and fire employees?

Doesn't it undermine the collective intelligence of illustrious and highly educated Yoruba people?

It is for discerning minds to determine if this is an oversight or preconceived scam.

This without a doubt may bring disrepute to the Yoruba Nation and hinder Yoruba National interest which is to become a Sovereign Nation.

It is an emotive image making us a laughing stock within comity of nations!

It is high time someone with relationship with those behind the project speaks senses to the scammers before the Police authority in the United Kingdom begin to embarrass our people in their clime.

It is one thing to have a specimen of a proposed passport, it is quite another thing to be issuing it. The advert calling individuals to register on the website of the Consulate services and what people are being told on TV programmes are miles apart. This is a joke criminally taken too far.

Which country can people visit with the passport?

Issues of this nature are not matters meant for jesting!

Which diplomatic mission recognises this consulate office?

Many more ambiguities. The public must shine their eyes.
