Yoruba are one of the three largest ethnic groups of Nigeria 🇳🇬 and are concentrated in the southwestern part of that country. There are much smaller, scattered groups living in Benin and northern Togo. The Yoruba numbered more than 20 million at the turn of the 21st century and are estimated 15.5% of Nigeria's Population (219,463,862).
They speak a language of the Benue-Congo branch of the Niger-Congo language family
