(2)  South Africa ๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฆ 31 May 1910: While this date represents the formation of the Union of South Africa, full independence from British colonial rule occurred later. South Africa became a republic on May 31, 1961.

Although all these countries were granted independence, where European countries continued to influence the politics and economies of these countries after independence, it has been called neocolonialism.
