You see Rauf Aregbesola as an ingrate because he openly disagreed with a man that is known as the most gracious benefactor to his life, Bola Tinubu, and dragged him in a manner not expected by anyone. Ok, maybe that's not good really. But won't you also ask who taught Aregbesola to be ungrateful, if not Tinubu himself?
Try ask yourself what Tinubu did in his political journey to persons who built the ladder for him to move upwards.
Tinubu who talks and carries himself as if he started his politics and won his first election into the Senate on the SDP platform from heaven. Do you hear him talk about Dapo Sarumi at all?
Does he talk about his seniors and contemporary allies in the then most formidable group, the Primrose Circle, in the Lagos SDP that offered him the platform for his first political breakthrough?
Tinubu who dismantled the Afenifere group that muzzled Funso Williams and snatched the AD ticket for him to become the party's gubernatorial candidate in 1999 and castrated the leaders soon after he became the governor. Pa Abraham Adesanya could not live with Tinubu's betrayal for too long and died obviously as an unhappy man.
Persons like Chief Ayo Adebanjo, Chief (Mrs) Kofo Bucknor-Akerele, Senator Femi Okunrounmu, Chief Reuben Fasoranti, Ayo Opadokun to mention but a few, remain today as the relics of Tinubu's betrayal of the Afenifere family and viciously brutal assault on its leaders who would not kowtow to him and his ambitious expansionist tendencies.
So when you tell us about those that Tinubu made, and probably some who betrayed him in your own thinking, it would be gratifying to also remember those whose roles helped in building the builder Tinubu but he turned round to demolish their own homes.
