This manifesto is written to enable ALL Yoruba people to participate in one or more areas of development in Yoruba nation for the benefit of ALL Yoruba peoples.
1. DEVELOPMENT OF OUR LAND
We want to develop our land for our own benefit and for the benefit of our descendants. The good Lord has given us the best in terms of land, climate, natural resources, population, etc. There is absolutely no reason for us to lack anything.
2. DEVELOPMENT OF OUR LANGUAGE
We want our language to be taught to our children in ALL our schools up to the university level. Language is the greatest enabler of wealth creation and nationalism. We want our language to be developed such that it can be used to propagate knowledge in all areas of human endeavor.
3. DEVELOPMENT OF TECHNOLOGY
We want to be able to use current technology to generate electricity, water, build good roads, and in the development of our natural resources, food, and agricultural resources.
4. SAFETY AND SECURITY
With the use of available technology, we want to be able to secure our borders, our homes, and surroundings.
5. PEACE
We want to be at peace with ALL our neighbors. Their comings and goings will not be hindered in any way as long as they do not encroach on our right to carry out our own livelihood as we choose.
6. EDUCATION
We want more stakeholders participating in our educational system. The system of ‘one size fits all’ imposed on us by the federal system is encumbering our national development as a people.
7. ENVIRONMENT
We want to live in an environment free of pollutants and irritants. The presence of mounds and heaps of garbage surrounding us discourages tourism and investment.
8. SELF RELIANCE
We want to be self-reliant in all areas of human endeavor. The tragedy of blaming someone else or the federal government for our lack of progress is demeaning to a forward-looking nation.
9. INVESTMENT
We want to create avenues for the millions of Yoruba peoples and experts who have left our shores to come back to invest in our economy. Whatever the issues holding them back must be addressed.
10. CULTURE/TOURISM
We want to actively engage in the development of our culture for our own benefit and the benefit of ALL Yoruba people in the diaspora.
