He works with government for 35 years systematically pilfering from our common wealth to raise his kids, build houses in prime locations, send his kids abroad, throw big wedding parties for his kids and the whole nine yards, and then he retires.
He buys a cosy building in a prime estate to enjoy a quiet life of retirement and to enjoy constant visits from grandkids.
Simultaneously, teenagers that couldn't get proper education from the system get guided into internet scamming business...yahoo boys... they hit it big and also want a taste of the good life.
They buy a house opposite his house. They start playing loud music and constituting themselves into a nuisance in the neighborhood. They are smoking marijuana, and abusing all sorts of drugs.
The old thief starts getting angry at the young thief... He starts calling his connections in the EFCC and the police to get rid of them..
He's not able to connect the dots that it was the Education fund, Health insurance fund, Road project fund, Fertilizer fund, Aviation fund, etc that he stole that are coming back to haunt him in old age.
You can't use stolen money to buy peace, it won't work. So instead of living a quiet life of peace after retirement, he's using his retirement time to fight yahoo boys in the neighborhood, on Twitter and those banging his 17yrs old granddaughter who's crazy about Naira Marley.
We usually fail to connect the dots... Even when we come full circle, we usually miss the dots..
A nation without conscience trying to instill what we don't have in minds of those around us.
