The Osumare Club was near Kingsway Stores. When I came to Ibadan for the first time in 1973, the Kingsway Stores was still existing then. It was in the building opposite Radio Nigeria on Oba Adebimpe road.
Look at this photo, the three barefooted young men to the left were probably shop assistants at Gbagi or 'alaarus'.
The women in Aso ebi nko? One of them was even barefooted.
Life was a bit less complicated then.
