Much of whom we become in life is influenced by those we come in contact with, and allow them to pour into our lives. Today we honor our late Godmother whom we owe a great debt, for her many contributions to humanity. #IyaAdunniOlorisa we salute you, and we are eternally grateful to you! Sun Re O!! Rest In Peace!!!

#AdunniOlorisha (c. 1915 – 12 January 2009), was an #Austrian #Nigerian #priestess, #artist and  #illustrator, who resided in #Nigeria. Her main focus was the #Yorubaculture and she was successful in building an #artistcooperative in #Osogbo.

[2] She partnered with local artists in Osogbo to redevelop and redecorate the #OsunOsogboSacredGrove with #sculptures and #carvings depicting the various activities of the #Orisas. #Orisha #Orixa

Wenger was a leading advocate for the preservation of the #OsunGrove. Due to her efforts, the grove was made a national monument in 1965, and was later inscribed as a @unescoworldheritage #UNESCO #WorldHeritageSite
