YOU MUST BE BORN AGAIN

"Except a man be Born Again he cannot see the kingdom of God".

This is a very common phrase in our world today which is attributed to the Christian Religion. But if you must know, the statement is not peculiar to the Christian religion alone.

First, I will like to establish that the statement is ABSOLUTELY true. But the way to be "Born Again" is what we might need an education on. I will attempt to explain it from the Christian perspective because many people are familiar with several Christian phrases, many of which they don't really understand their meanings.

To be Born Again certainly doesn't mean to go again into one's mother's Womb and be reborn, instead, to be Born Again is considered to be a spiritual birth. This sort of birth is contrasted with the natural birth.

When you were born by your mother, you were nurtured with natural things like breast milk, water and other forms of food. That arrangement by life is characterized mainly to keep you alive physically.

You grow to learn societal norms and become a member of the general society. But what goes on around you is simply a fraction of what reality of life really is. There is another part of you that you have not had the opportunity to experience through the process of the physical birth and development.

The spiritual birth is therefore coming to the awareness and apprehension of the divine life that is both around and within you. This life is not and cannot be developed by food and water as you have been used to. This is why it is said that "man shall not live by bread alone.."

A spiritual birth matriculates you into the universal eternal order of life which transcends what the physical eyes can see. It is life experience that can't be perceived by the physical senses.

The spiritual birth is the phenomenon that Christians refer to as "Giving your life to Christ". To give one's life to Christ is presently erroneously taught to mean accepting the Christian religion and following the man Jesus. Giving your life to Christ has been interpreted to mean giving your life to the dogmas of the Christian religion.

Giving your life to Christ is usually also communicated to mean giving your life to Jesus. So, those who claim to have given their lives to Christ simply find themselves learning about Christian creed and following the man Jesus.

But what does it really mean to give one's life to Christ?

Firstly, is to understand that Christ is not the name of Jesus. Christ is not his surname either. Christ is the office of Jesus. That is, what what he was CHOSEN for. The Word Christ itself means "The Anointed" or "The Chosen". So the name Jesus Christ could easily be read as Jesus the Chosen.

What this means is that the man Jesus gave his own life to Christ, that is, he gave himself over to what he was CHOSEN for. In order words, after his natural birth, he got Born Again. The word "Christ" is therefore simply means the Almighty God's program for your life - what you have been CHOSEN for.

Yesterday, I wrote about the fact that we are not mere human beings but ÒRÌṢÀS lodged within human body and that we struggle between our divine nature and the mortal (natural or carnal) nature. There is the carnal/natural human desire for your life and there is the higher calling upon your life. The higher calling of God for your life is CHRIST - that is, what you are anointed/chosen for.

Therefore Giving your life to Christ simply means submitting to the higher calling of God for your life. Giving your life to Christ means functioning in accordance with the purpose/pattern for which you were created.

In Ifá, What is Called Christ can be translated as ÒRÌṢÀ:

The word Òrìṣà is a combination of two words : Orí (head/consciousness/divinity/creator), Ṣà (selected/set apart). The two words together mean "Divinely Selected". That is, Òrìṣàs are those that Orí, also known as Ẹlẹda (Creator) set apart for a particular purpose.

For instance, Ògún is the Òrìṣà of Iron, that is, he is the one whom the creator set apart to bring the knowledge of Iron mining and smelting which make the creation of tools possible to mankind.

When Ògún was born as a human being, he would naturally live his life like every other humans, but at some point in his growth, he will discover that he has some innate abilities and desires which are different from every other humans around. He will find out and eventually be able to harness that energy within in order to fulfill that heavenly mandate upon his life. The process of Ògún coming to the awareness and apprehension of his divine ability in order to express it for the benefit of mankind is simply Ògún giving his life to Christ.

It therefore means that to be Born Again is to become aware of one's divine self and align with one's divine purpose; outgrowing (not forfeiting) the carnal, but letting the spiritual (divine authentic nature) gain ascendancy over carnal (natural) inclinations. This is what it means to submit one's life to Christ.

So to give your life to Christ doesn't mean to be submitted to the doctrine of the Christian religion because the name of Jesus is not Christ, it is what he was CHOSEN to do that he is a CHRIST for. You are also Christ for something; it is your duty to find out that which you have been created to do in your time here. Remember, you are a divine being living in a earthly house. Coming back to the consciousness of your divinity and fulfilling the purpose for which you have been divinely endowed from even before you were born is what it means to give your life to Christ. The day you come to the awareness of your divinity and you apprehend your divine character in order to manifest it FOR THE GOOD OF MANKIND is the day you got Born Again.

The reason why it is true that "it is impossible to enter heaven without being Born Again" is because if you view and approach life only from your carnal nature, you will never be able to activate your divine gifting which reside in the realm of the invisible (Heaven/Ọ̀run).

Being Born Again isn't about going to heaven after you die, it is coming alive to the heaven in you and being able to influence the world around you with your divine endowments.

In Ifá, the way to become born again is to get initiated, it is called ÌTẸFÁ (meaning to be pressed into Ifá, the eternal word of God - Olódùmarè); hence the saying "man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God"

The day you know the Odù (sacred Womb) that brought you into this world is the day you got Born Again. Walking after the dictate of the Odù is therefore submitting to Olódùmarè's higher calling for your life, or in the Christian terminology, that's when you have given your life to Christ.

Upon Ìtẹfá, You Become A New Creature:

Some things you do before, you don't do them again because of their implication for your life as a person CHOSEN for a purpose. These things are known as your Èèwọ̀ (Taboos/donts).

Your mother's Womb is the physical container where you developed all your natural/physical features before you were born, Your Odù is the spiritual Womb where you developed all your spiritual features before the beginning of time.
