The city of Madison is the administrative capital of the state of Wisconsin as well as Dane County. Madison is the second largest city in the state of Wisconsin and the 82nd largest city in the US. The city is located in the middle of the Dane County and is 122 miles from Chicago and 77 miles from Milwaukee. The city occupies an area of 94.03 square miles, 17.24 square miles of which are occupied by water. The population of the city has been growing steadily since 1850 when the city had a population of 1,525. The city, however, experienced a decrease in population in 1980 by -0.7% but recovered in the years that followed.

Green Bay is the administrative capital of Brown County. The city has a population of 104,057 inhabitants making it the third largest city in the state of Wisconsin. The city is located in northeastern region of the state at the Fox River mouth. The city occupies a total surface area of about 55.96 square miles, 10.49 square miles of which are occupied by water. In 1860 the city had a population of about 2.276 inhabitants. The population has increased steadily since then. The city has a population density of 2,288.5 people per square mile.

Kenosha is the administrative capital of Kenosha County and is located on Lake Michigan's southwestern shores. The city has a population of about 99,631 inhabitants making it the fourth largest city in the state of Wisconsin. The city occupies an area of about 27.03 square miles, 0.01 square miles of which is occupied by water. The city has a population density of 3,684 people per square mile.
