AFRICAN HISTORY

On 14th November in 1960, Ruby Bridges became the first African American to integrate an all-white elementary school in the South, at William Frantz School in New Orleans, Louisiana. For the entire school year, only 1 teacher taught Bridges, in a classroom by herself.
